Škoda has officially launched in Oman, bringing European design and value to a market dominated by Japanese and Korean brands. The Czech automaker's entry marks a significant expansion in the Middle East, with the compact 2026 Skoda Kushaq starting at an attractive OMR 8,900.

What Models Are Available in Oman?

Škoda is launching with three core models tailored for Omani buyers. The lineup includes the popular Kushaq compact SUV, the practical Octavia sedan, and the family-focused Kodiaq seven-seater SUV.

Here’s the pricing breakdown:

  • Škoda Kushaq: Starts at OMR 8,900 (approx. AED 84,000)
  • Škoda Octavia: Ranges from OMR 10,900 to 12,500 (approx. AED 103,000 - 118,000)
  • Škoda Kodiaq: Starts at OMR 14,900 (approx. AED 141,000)

These prices position Škoda as a compelling European alternative to established rivals like the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross, Hyundai Creta, and the 2026 Toyota Fortuner.

Inside the New Skoda Muscat Showroom

The new facility is not your typical dealership. It's a digital-first experience designed to engage customers. Key features include a large interactive configurator wall, immersive display zones, and even a motorsport corner highlighting Škoda's racing heritage.

The attached service center boasts eight modern work bays, ensuring prompt maintenance for new owners. Premium Motors has ambitious plans to expand its footprint, aiming to open three additional showrooms and service centers across Oman by 2029.

Why Škoda's Oman Launch Matters

Oman's passenger vehicle market is projected to grow 12-14% year-over-year in 2026, driven by tourism, expatriate population growth, and major infrastructure projects. Škoda's timing is strategic.

"Entering the Omani market is an important milestone for Škoda," said Martin Jahn, Škoda Board Member for Sales & Marketing. "Expanding our footprint in the Middle East strengthens our presence beyond Europe."

Lukas Honzak, Managing Director of Škoda Middle East, added, "We are thrilled to bring Škoda to Oman... confident that Škoda is set to achieve exceptional success."

Skoda Kushaq, Octavia & Kodiaq: Specs for GCC Drivers

While Omani prices are now confirmed, GCC drivers are familiar with these models' capabilities, especially in harsh summer climates.

The entry-level 2026 Skoda Kushaq is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 114 HP and 175 Nm of torque. It's geared for city efficiency with a claimed fuel economy of up to 16.7 km/L.

The 2026 Skoda Octavia sedan offers more power, with a 1.4-liter or 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder option (140 HP, 250 Nm). It balances performance and efficiency, achieving between 14.7 and 20.4 km/L.

For larger families, the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq seven-seater SUV comes with a 1.4-liter TSI engine (150 HP, 250 Nm) and available all-wheel drive—a practical choice for regional road trips.

How Does Skoda Compare to the Competition?

Škoda's value proposition in Oman is clear. The Kushaq undercuts many rivals in the compact SUV segment, offering European build quality at a competitive price. The Octavia brings sedan practicality into the fray against the perennial favorite Corolla and Civic.

The Kodiaq enters the competitive seven-seater space, challenging the dominance of the 2026 Toyota Fortuner and Mazda CX-9 with a more car-like driving experience and premium interior touches.

What's Next for Skoda in Oman?

With the showroom now open in Muscat, Omani customers can configure, explore, and order their new Škoda immediately. The focus will be on establishing the brand's reputation for reliability and customer service in the region.

The planned expansion to three more locations by 2029 signals long-term commitment. As the Omani auto market heats up, Škoda's European alternative is now a serious contender for buyers looking beyond the usual suspects.
