Known ProblemsOccasional problems include failure of the engine's intake manifold gaskets, causing rough idle and turning on "check engine" error light, but parts are cheap for this fix. Failure of the fuel tank sending unit means fuel gauge will not work, and replacement parts are expensive. Engine seems to have tendency to burn a lot of oil. Various reports of blown engines, transmissions and transfer cases. Some reports of a/c blower failure. Reports of electronics issues with components such as the ECU, cruise control, wiring harness and fuel-pressure sensor.
