Known ProblemsEngine and gearbox problem-free. Cabin trim falls apart with age. Rattling dashboard and trim very common. Cam-belts should be changed regularly to avoid sudden engine damage. Early models had factory recall for brake booster and wheels. Another recall in 2001 dealt with faulty starter motors, for which relays were replaced. Water can enter tail-light units. More prone to rust around wheel-wells.
